I’m a native of Hatteras Island, North Carolina. I spent 14 years living in the suburbs of Atlanta and never felt at home there. When I was 41, I moved my family back home to Hatteras. We uprooted our kids and our lives, downsized our house by half, and traded traffic and noise for a quieter life on a remote sandbar.

I’m into horses, the outdoors, homeschooling and living simply. My life is not a Pinterest board. Nothing about it is perfect, but a lot of it is wonderful.
