I love writing for children! I hope to inspire a love of reading and of the natural world, especially for the beautiful Outer Banks of North Carolina, where I grew up. Buying one of my books helps me to stay home with my children!
“Growing Up in Hatteras” was my first children’s book. It is a simple story about growing up on a remote barrier island off the coast of North Carolina.
“An Outer Banks Counting Book” will help children learn to count and entertain them with pictures of the North Carolina Coast.
“Joey and the Hurricane” is the first book in the Hatteras Kids Series. It’s about a family living in a tiny fishing village off the coast of North Carolina in the the 1950’s. They own Banker Ponies, the descendants of Spanish horses who swam ashore from shipwrecks in the 1500’s. Their lives are simple but happy, and sometimes fraught with danger.
